Janata Durbar was cancelled due to unexpected and huge crowds that assembled. This shows to what extent the grievances were piled up and kept in the cold storage by the previous governments. AK has inherited a grave yard. Not to foresee the huge response is the mistake of the new government. Now the redressal system to address public grievances either has to be stopped or find out a viable system in future.

There is system of receiving complaints in all offices and action is taken on complaints. But often there is reluctance to make complaint for various reasons. All that was needed was to widely circulate the complaints receiving and redressal system advising people to write directly to C.M. or Chief executive if complaint is not redressed within certain period say a fortnight or a month. Many offices have also complaint boxes. But the current AAP government at Delhi is more interested in publicity.

Here I am reminded of similar dramatics by one Janata Party minister under Morarji Desai. Once Raj Narain, health minister asked people in a meeting to give him complaints if any. Naturally, there would be many complaints. He put the complaints in his pocket. When the pocket filled, he filled his anoithe pocket. Then complaints spilled out and filled the floor. When meeting was dispersed, Raj Narain just left. Nobody knows what happened to the complaints.

You should remember that AAP is a newborn babe. All these are teething troubles. What about the flops of our so called established parties innumerable times ?

If they are not holding any public meeting then that means they won't waste time in meetings and gossips. They will direct work for the betterment of the people.

The AAP officials are saying that no more Janta Durbar but they are going to manage a system where people can connect with AAP through the Internet and phone! Let's see what happens!
