It is sad that West Bengal government is indifferent to starvation of tea workers in the state. Their condition is pitiable.

Why single out West Bengal? Did Maharashtra or Gujarat show any difference to their textile industries whose owners did not reinvest but diverted to other industries. Jute industry has been finished by plastic industry. Unless there is solid political gain political parties care two hoots for a sick industry. Throwing out Tata Nano was WB govt's achievement.

West Bengal is not singled out. But the link was about West Bengal. Whenever there is such news in other states, that is also painful.

Sadly, there are more starvation deaths of farmers after creation of Telangana state.

I have nothing to add here..can't actually, because this is quite and unfortunate incident. My heart goes out to those small children who die because of starvation and daily we waste food intentionally or unintentionally.

Starvation deaths of farmers ,shortage of water, and power in Telangana was predicted and warned by no less than the then Congress chief minister Kiran Reddy. But his predictions were unheeded by his own High Command due to which he has resigned. Now the Telangana leaders are pulling their hair and howling at the top of their voices that it was intentionally done by Andhra government.
Its nothing. See the condition of Telangana after an year. Not only farmers but also people will die on the roads due to shortage of water and power. Farming will come to a grinding halt in Telangana very shortly.

So the poistion is worst in Telanagana. It is the government that is squarely responsible for starvatio deaths. There are no proper words to comment.

Definitely, conditions are worst. This is sheer negligence. Power hunger made TRS blind. KCR knows well about these shortages well before bifurcation .

How can such severe shortages develop in Telengana so soon after its formation is surprisng. Does it mean in the undivided AP there was no development in Telengana region. If yes then they have rightly got their own state. If not then the observations need tobe backed with facts.

Power making units are in AP. Raw material coal is in Telangana. After division what might have happened is left to your imagination.

They are two Indian states and not two enemy states. It is also not first time that an Indian state has been divided. If what you say is true then what is Center doing? Why there is no agitation in either state? There are gaps in information which need to be filled in.

Now they are enemy states. How you can say that there are no agitations? Not a single day passes without an agitation in Telangana. But not in AP. Telangana's revenue generating resources are next to nothing. whereas AP has. For example we have Red sandal forests here. this has a heavy demand in all the countries.. Earlier it used to be managed by private contractors. Now the govt of AP took over and selling it directly through global tenders. Telangana lacks innumerable natural resources. AP has. Telangana asked for trouble by demanding a separate state. Now it has to suffer.
