I wonder why some people do not try to follow this important steps...I think every addiction has a solution to quiet...

I think the bast way is to substitute the habit rather than quitting this. If one keeps busy with reading, net surfing or writing, the urge to smoke will diminish. When you are idle, the urge to smoke is keener.

Once it forms into a settled habit it becomes so difficult to kick it!
It depends on the individual's mind set too.He must have strong will power to quit smoking.The family members must also support him. :) :)

It does require a lot of will power and those who heavy smokers must try to reduce it overa period of time as any attempt to give it up at one go is fraught with risks!

AS long as you do not quit smoking mentally, mere physically abstaining will not help. Real quitting means that smoking is not in your mind. Cultivating alternative habits helps. When you are idle, you will have a greater urge to smoke. so, taking more interest in books, friends, Yoga, music will help.
