I read the novels: Lady Chatterlee's Lover, Lolita, Mother (by Maxim Gorky), The Second Lady (by Erwing Wallace), 1984 (by Orwell) . I like 1984 most as this is fantassy of future world when gagdets under state control will destroy all privacy and freedom.

Gone With the Wind (1936), by Margaret Mitchell is one of the best novel I know.
Even I don't read much so suggesting the name of a good novel is something beyond my means but at the same time felt nice to know the names of some novels provided here by the members!!!
Alice in Wonderland and Gullivers Travels are another novels that take us to a surprising world.
