Is there any logic in different types of dress for men and women. Why both cannot wear same dress. Why should only women wear sari and not men. Why dhoti Kurta should be only for men.

Am seeing a new catagory for discussion......really nice!!!

Sir, it's true...women wear all dress of men....pants, dhoti, shirt etc...
But still now, I don't know why men never do so.

But dress of kings resemble churidaars a lot!!!

We can see many people using common dresses these days as trousers or Jeans are popular among men and women both, also we have seen men and women wearing Salwar suits in many places mostly in North India and Pakistan. I have seen people using skirt and shirts in countries like Scotland and Ireland.

Also, executives in corporate world also have some common dress code while attending meetings and function. Isn't it?

I have seen many women wearing lungi. Lungi is common for both men and women. Like wise, kurta and pujama. Recently in fashion shows, men are seen wearing sarees also. Shirt and pants are worn by both men and women, even salwars.

ya, house wives of old times, used to wear lungi at home. But now, nighties have replaced them most.

Why can't men wear nighties like ladies? :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I remember a scene from a Malayalam movie where Mohan lal wears a nighty, since he got no other dress at home :woohoo: :woohoo:

They have dress code for executives but with difference between male and female. I see that the policewomen also wear different from men but color is same.
