Five-year-old Karnit Shah, who went missing while playing near the apartment building in which his family lives in Mumbai's suburb Kandivli on April 6, has been found in Uttar Pradesh. Three men, who allegedly kidnapped him, have been arrested.

Among those arrested is the main accused, Sameer Khan, whose sketch had been released by the police. The men had demanded ransom from the Shah family, police said.

A Mumbai police team is in UP to get little Karnit, who has been away for almost 15 days now, back home. The boy's relieved father, Anand Shah, told NDTV, "The police called to say he is safe and sound."

Karnit's family pulled out all stops to trace the little boy. They turned to facebook, uploading photos of his son along with his phone number, hoping a stranger somewhere would respond with information that could help him locate Karnit. Online communities sprang up as the appeal went viral. Thousands of people forwarded Karnit's photos.

It is a very nice news that the boy has been recovered from kidnappers. There is inter state kidnap rackets. They kidnap not only children but even adult business men for ransom. Mostly they get ransom.

There is no limit to which man can degrade and deprave himself. We need to curb such crimes very effectively.

It is not possible or feasible to deal with all crimes with limited police force and judiciary. The Government will do well to concentrate on (1) Economic scams (2) Rape and crime against women (3) Adulteration with food, drugs and hospital negligence and irregularities.

Yes, its true with limited police you con't control such crimes. But what can be done in such case? The only option left is hanged to death. Kidnappers who don't fear, they case will be different. But, i don't think that they will not fear from death. Whomever found guilty, should be hanged to death. This will make them fear, that once they will caught ,they will be hanged to death. This is how you can control such crimes.
If you can't hanged to death, punish them severely,so that they don't do such crimes after they released from jail.
Government has a power to change any act, but if you don't take action badly,it is not going to affect. Crimes are increasing day by day in our country. Severe action is the only option.

In view of less police and judiciary, the remedy is to ignore petty offenses that do not injure any one and are consensual. The entire police force and judiciary should be engaged in really serious matters like big financial scams, frauds, rape, crime against women, kidnapping, adulteration of food and medicines.

Sounds good to hear that the kidnappers got arrested and the parents got back their child. Really good job by the Mumbai Police!!!
Well this boy was very lucky to get traced, but not all are that very lucky...one of the way to curb such crimes could be to make the laws very strict, then only these people will fear a little and crime rate could be brought down...
