There is a good news. In case of urgent need, gas cylinder will be available at petrol pump. This will be at full price. Even if you have no gas connection, you'll get a cylinder from petrol pump.

    No chance, as every petrol pump will be selling these cylinders there won't be any monopoly. It's a good move to release customer from the clutches of gas agencies. There are many private services in metros where you can avail private cylinders on extra price almost the same as non subsidized rate. Fair enough.

    The cylinder at petrol pump will be at market price (full price). There is no subsidy. The actual price may depend on intensity of demand. Most customers will get their supply from normal distribution channel at subsidized rates. There may not be too many at petrol pumps. So, there is less chance of overcharging there.
    However, there is also a scheme yet to implement. Customers will get their cylinders st full price only whereas subsidy will be credited to their bank account. Then it matters little whether you buy from your distributor or petrol pump.

    No it will not attract black marketing. Gas cylinders will available at petrol pumps at market price not at subsidy prices. Now only petrol and diseal is available on petrol pumps in future one more product will available.

    That's the advantage they take. This is going on all around. And even if there isn't any urgency, still they can extract more bucks.

    Such measures will surely reduce black marketing of gas cylinders. It will be particularly good news for those who are living temporarily on rent and cannot get a proper connection and has to depend on cylinders sold on black markets

    Non subsidies LPG will be sold in almost double price. Thats means if the normal one is coming in 400 then you will get the cylinder at petrol pump at 800 to 900, which is nothing less than black market price :(
