European probe Rosetta sent in space by the European Space Agency had remained inactive for 31 months and sent its first signal to earth today. She has been up in the space exploring comets for nearly a decade and had gone to sleep for 31 months hence was dubbed as the Sleeping Beauty! :) :) Her chief function is to explore the nature of comets which are said to have been resulted from the birth of the solar system and hence, may unlock the secrets about our existence too! Whoever says space missions are waste, should really do some serious thinking! :woohoo: :woohoo:

The secret behind the origin of the earth is not yet known to us. Few years back a fact was disclosed that nobody has every stepped on the Moon. Just a rumour was spread which has brought them billions of money and prestige. Is this a business? 31 months of sleep has now come to an end. How? What could be the reason behind such inactivity?

Space research sounds interesting, that's all.

That's the beauty of space research. Its benefits will not be known immediately. Over a period the research starts bearing fruits. And these benefits are everlasting and bring multitude of facts that help unravel the mysteries of space.
Hats off to the sleeping beauty.

Rosetta is their version of Kumbakarna, now it has waken up and sending pictures, this is very interesting as space research has vast unexplored field which remains to be discovered and hope fully some new comets and some new interesting news would be there about space this year.

A scientific research of this kind will never go waste. Despite her silence for a long period, the information its sending now will be priceless which enable the scientific community go for further research.

Absolutely ! I to have been reading about this.. There are somne things in life which can never be termed as wasteful and space expenditure is one such ...

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

The information she will send henceforth will indeed prove quite helpful in unlocking the mysteries of our universe! And in any case, I think even a little bit of information about such places where common man cannot venture does have a ring of mystery and romance to it!
