Withdraw Rs. 1 lakh from HDFC bank ATM !!!

HDFC bank is going to increase the maximum withdrawal amount from ATM to Rs. 1 lakh. Other banks are also planning to increase the withdrawal limit.

    yes it is very useful sometimes and i think this is the highest amount till now as most of the banks allow 20000 only..Anyhow i dont have account in HDFC..thanks for sharing the information Meean

    Withdrawing Rs. one lakh from ATM is good facility. But there is also risk of cheating by higher amount. There have been cases of withdrawal of cash by unauthorized persons by stealing Debit card or making its clone. But, there was restriction upto Rs. 30,000/- Now with increase in amount of withdrawal, risk is also more so that we need be more careful about safe custody of debit card and security of pass word.

    It is very good news.But risk factor is also increased.We have to be very careful regarding the safety of debit card as Gulshan has rightly pointed out.

    But I think that there might be some problem in case of emergency situations where we need more than Rs 1Lakh.
