Atleast for this cause both DMK and ADMK have same stand. I expect both DMK and ADMK have to work together in Loksabha and Rajya sabha for the goodness of TN.
Yes ! It is their responsibility to work for the welfare of Tamil Nadu and our beloved country India. :) :)

Tamil is one of the languages recognized in Indian constitution and so one may take oath in Tamil. What is significant that another M.P. namely Pratap Singh Rudi of BJP took oath in Bhojpuri- a Bihari dialect. But Bhojpuri is not recognized. Hence, his oath in Bhojpuri being invalid, he had to again take oath in Hindi.
The members have the right to take oath in any Indian language including English. This is not so important. What they contribute in debates and other public activities is more important.

For the purpose of promoting their language, everyone should take oath in their own mother tongue so that their language pride remains in tact. And also the points raised in the parliament should also be in their own mother tongue.
Thats nice... :)

Thats the respect they give to Mother Tongue... Good move!!! :)

Thanks 'n' Regards,
Deepti.
Yes you are right deepti!

Hindi mother toungue people will take oath in hindi why others need to take oath in hindi and english .
It is perfectly okay to take oath in any language so far as rules permit. But the language issue should not overshadow the real problems that the M.P.s should discuss. In all fairness, English should be used in Parliament and regional languages, including Hindi, in state assemblies.
