Page rank is graded one from 1 to ten based on importance given by various sites. Traffic is number of visitors to site. For more details see the link below:

As per my knowledge Traffic means your blog or website visitors comes from search engine, referral links or direct. Where page rank means google count your blog or website popularity based on voting.

I think Gulshanji and Naiyaji has very well explained the concept of page rank and traffic.
Naiya google count your blog or website according to the content not popularity and voting

its nice to know about page rank and traffic. I thought google count our blog or website according to the visitors $ voting. Now, it is cleared that google rate our blog or website according to content.

I think this the explanation for ranking but what is the meaning of traffic and how does it work?
the page rank depends on both the factors content as well as no. of visitors......so both of them would matter for it.

Both things are interrelated if we get good traffic for our blog then page rank will increase so first we need to concentrate on traffic.
