OPERA done this experiment twice , once in September 2011 and other in November 2011 and the result showed Neutrinos are faster than the speed of light. In February 2012 reports came out that the results (Neutrinos are faster than light) caused by a loose fiber optic cable attached to one of the atomic clocks , which was measuring the departure and arrival times of the neutrinos. In June 2012, CERN (Centre Européen de Recherche Nucléaire) announced that new measurements conducted by four Gran Sasso experiments (OPERA, ICARUS, Borexino and LVD) and found agreement between the speed of light and the speed of neutrinos and disapprove the initial result of OPERA that Neutrinos are faster than light.
