    It just underlines the basic differences in the way men and women think. Men are attracted more to good looks and pleasing appearance while women look beyond mere appearance and care more about the nature and personality of a person to fall in love.

    This can be said in other way too kalyani!

    Perhaps, men and women see some inherent good in each other, which they take for granted in their own sex. A man may take his own good qualities for granted. That is why he is flattered, when people are attracted to what they see as his good qualities. The same can be said for women, too.
