Wanted things and materials

You will need cotton cloth, for cutting purpose scissor, stones or dal, string, cold water, dyes, pans or buckets. These are the materials for making colorful cloth.

Making Method

First wash the cloth neatly and next dry it.

Place stones or dal in the cloth.

Gather the cloth around the stones and tie with a string, binding it well. Do this same in several places.

Dye the tied cloth in blue cold-water dye following correct instructions for dyeing.

After dyeing, rinse well, then remove the strings and hang the cloth out to dry. It should display circles of blue separated by white areas where it was bound with string.

When the cloth is dry put the stones or dal in it and tie it in different places like you did the first time.

Soak the tied material in yellow dye. After rising, remove the string and dry the cloth. The spots tied with string will stay white. It will be yellow in places where only the yellow dye has colored it. In places where both dyes have colored it, the cloth will be leaf green. Circular patterns will show up in the places where the stones were tied.
