I'm not against Valentine Day celebrations. This view I expressed in my previous posts in the same discussion. The point I want to drive home is that, Martyr Bhagat Singh should be remembered. Another aspect that I dislike is Public display of love during Valentine's Day.

For vote bank politics, politicians are supporting anti nationalists. One of the twitter user rightly said that in India supporting anti nationalists brings vote for you while in other countries anti nationalist and their supporters are punished hardly.

Change is an essential part of life,if we can ape western style of dressing, speaking , even their style of toilets and many other things why not Valentines day? ...I dont see anything wrong with it as long as it is kept withing limits and remains personal ! However, some business oriented people have found this a  great opportunity to further their business ventures LOL..

I have seen some suggestions made by a few religious Gurus, to celebrate Valentine's day as " Prem Divas. " Thank God it's at least Prem Diwas but not Matri-Pitri Pujan Diwas Its good to hear that their are some people who respect the importance of valentine day in our society. the only thing which valentine taught us is that to spread love, whether it is between a boyfriend and girlfriend or between a mother and  her son/daughter. valentine day mean love with full respect.  I am a big supporter of love  in all its manifestations, but why do we chose St Valentine ? I am sure 99% of the Indians  don't know who St Valentine was. Why can\t we have a  Indian Love day taken from our rich heritage that includes Vatsayana. Exactly. We the Indians ape a western Love festival as if there are no other festivals in Hinduism to exhibit love. Is it necessary for a separate day to show and shower love, when love can be shown  every day ? You are right there are many festivals in Hinduism itself related to love. yeah why to follow others we should set an example of love to our close one whom we love more than our life

This trend over the years has cost our country a great deal , be it Kashmir or internal issues ! Even today they wont let go but hold on to their past mistakes and stubbornly insist on causing more damage ! Policy of Appeasement of minorities is not new it, it is continue since freedom.    While it is the duty of the elected government to take care of all its citizens regardless of religion, caste or creed, it is also unfair to be partial to any one community simply because they help you get votes. Some people may argue how a minority community can help a party get votes, this is because minorities are known to stay clustered together and in some places there are more than 70 -80% of the same community living in the same area ...

I don't say minorities should not be there, but stay in their limits. Very right. Hindus lost for centuries and once the entire sub continent was Hindu but now 40% have converted to Islam. This will continue due to policy of appeasement. Frankly this appeasement policy is because of Hindus themselves.  Who can change it?   You are right. Hindus by nature are peace loving people. "Ahimso Parama Dharmaha ' is their policy. But over the years, Hindus realized their mistake and now they are coming of age. Hopefully, in the days to come, there will be change in the attitude of Hindus.

Debate and discussion, dissent and discord are all parts of a healthy and thriving democracy but in the name of them only half-wits would even remotely think of lending support to these dangerously ferocious anti-national elements. There used to be times when communists of dubious variety made no bones about their self-avowed goal of joining our political system to destroy it from within. They were the ones who yelled" ye Azadi jhoo hai" called Netaji a quisling even 'Tojo's dog"! They supported creation of Pakistan, called Tagore a bourgeoise poet. The more radical and red-hot specçies beheaded Vidyasagar's statue and I can go on and on delving into their dark, shameful past! JNU has been reduced to the head quarters of these elements, bombard it!!
