Neither case, I do not want my son to try to become popular or become famous. I just want him to know what is right and what is wrong and understand and realise his own talents and potentials and focus on them. I just want him to become a good person and a good citizen, if he deserves it and his deeds justify it, popularity and fame will come to him automatically.

But thankful;ly, now these ladies are waking up to reality that they should let others decide on how much to eat rather than force feeding and smothering them with food. MY mother too used to do that to us at one point. LOL:)

When people put on lots of weight, they start taking tension, as to how they will lose weight. But, once you start doing physical exercise and having control diet, things become easy. For me, i didn't knew how i lose 25 kgs. It was not possible for me to lose before coming to FLAME, pune - my college. I tried hard but somehow i was unable to lose, because of my home cooked food - so as i think. But, after coming here and having hostel food, things started changing. Its not that i don't like canteen food, but somehow i stop eating. Instead of 4 chapatis which i used to eat at home, i reduced it to 2 chapatis. I controlled my diet. I never planned to do it, but somehow it happened. I have also portioned my diet into 4 parts. I also think eating food at regular timing has also help me. I take breakfast in morning from 8:30 am to 9:00 am, lunch at 1:00 pm, snacks at 5:00 pm in evening and dinner at 8:00 pm. So, i want to tell all of them, who want to lose weight. Start reducing your diet, if you are eating too much. Start doing some exercise or play any sport.  Start taking Fruits fast i.e eat only fruits for one day. You will see glow in your face and things will start affecting your body and you will start reducing your weight

I am sure once he calamity is over and things are back to normal , everyone would go back to their old ways and litter away all over the place and authorities sweep it into any corner or hole visible on the road ! True Usha...civic sense is something that is restricted to learning something in school for a few years, score marks and then forget all about it. There is no attempt to make it an integral part of our social life. Even the 2005 deluge in Mumbai was because of plastic bags choking up the drainages and sewers, similar happened in Pune a few days ago and now Chennai. No one still wishes to take full responsibility of their own behavior and unaccountability in jobs. Who suffers in all this is the common man, who too does not wish to wake up and behave more responsibly!

Kalyani Nandurkar said thank you to usha manohar for his/her reply to the topic Who is the real communalist?.
RSS is more a organisation of people who do voluntary work which is what their name suggests and no doubting their patriotism because for them country is above everything . Linking them to communalism and saffron brigade etc was started by the Congress party which was probably scared of their popularity .

Food habits play a vital role in keeping your body in an healthy or unhealthy condition. My weight remained 68 kgs for the last  one decade. I eat mostly vegetarian stuff like veggies and pulses though I'm a non vegetarian. Additionally I'm a regular Yoga practitioner,.I always indulge in some kind or other activities.

I was 95 kgs in year 2014 and now after 1 and half year, since i am in pune, i have lost 25 kgs. I weigh 70 kgs now. I have lost weight because of eating and physical habits. I play tennis on regular basis and eat consistently. Yes, i have reduce daily consumption of food. But main reason for losing weight is my consistent eating habits. I eat 2 chapatis and have stop drinking sugary drinks like Pepsi, coke.

We, in my home, keep everything on the table. we request the guest to serve himself, so that, there won't be any force.Either my wife or myself stand and say the usual things like, "How about some more rice ?" etc By this, excess serving that leads to wastage of food can be avoided.

Generally a warning from the weather authorities about any weather abnormalities are being circulated through print and electronic media. We in AP were made known about HUdhud cyclone well in advance and Disaster management groups took the relief measures. In chennai, the corporation of Chennai neither heeded the warning nor circulated. Weather has done its duty, but man did not.

Congress is now an idle political party, that has  nothing better to do. Additionally it thinks to stage a come back to power, which is not possible. This fact even the Khaddar Topi wallahs also know. So the next best thing this party can do is to create controversies.

When the Indian Meteorological Department sent a warning that Tamil Nadu is going to receive severe rainfall, the warning was passed on to the Corporation of Chennai. . This was supposed to be circulated to the people living in low lying areas. This was not done. All these factors worked together leading to unprecedented deluge.
