    This is group discussion. the topic is : should there be censorship on journalism or not. In the contest, you give your views either in favor or against with reasons. If you give three eligible posts, you will get fifty extra points. If your performance is considered best, you will be declared winner and get award of Rs. 50/-. The runner or second prize is Rs. 25/-. Five points for each post you get as usual.

    It is very good to see not a single dissenting opinion on the need to have some control on media and the divergence is how to go about it.Censorship is basically an emergency measure to deal with emergencies.In a country as varied and as vast as ours in terms of culture,language and others the press must discharge its role with utmost sensitivity,objectvity within the four corners of all constitutional and legal provisions of all the relevant enactments of the land.

    The issue of censorship on journalism arises against backdrop of misuse of power of expression and irresponsibility towards public interest, security concerns and privacy of 9individuals. The press and journalists need to be more responsible so as not to invite the whip of censor.

    There is need for strict internal regulation in journalism. Prior censor is neither desirable nor feasible. As aptly pointed out by chinmoy,this is an emergency measure that should not be enforced routinely. With this, I conclude.

    So I conclud my discussion here.

    The topic was "should there be censorship on journalism or not. "

    In my point of view as the media persons are violating the limits some censorship is necessary.But it should not be one that is implemented forcefully as forced implementation will create rebelism.
