There are some food items banned in various countries. Samosa (called singhara in some places) is also banned in one country as this resembles to a religious concept, namely holy trio.

    Samosa in Somalia. But most of the things looks logical except this one. :laugh:

    In such a case they should change shape of samosa to take it out of banned list.

    Nice suggestion. But I am not sure if that would be a samosa then. People really are so fussy about their religion. :blink:

    That part should be done by us if we want to boost our Samosa exports to Somalia. Or the local people who are making and selling Samosas should make it a four cornered Samosa.

    What matters is content. Giving different shape may make difference. But I have another thing in mind. almost everything is same. All eatables are made of almost same stuff. These could be sweet or salty. I don't find much difference between Patty and Samosa. Both are stuffed with potato.

    In India Samosa is most favored snack. I think it is available in every part of India.

    Patties are shallow fried , not baked while Samosas are deep fried...Once you eat a well prepared samosa you will never give up on it, I love vegetable Samosas !

    Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

    I like vegetable samosas too, especially vegetables with chinese flavour. Also close by there is a place that sells special samosas with fresh coconut, onion and dried grapes filling which is just so delicious!!
