Excessive use of gadgets especially in early education is detrimental to mental and physical growth of children. I remember a cartoon of a child being unable to calculate 2 + 2 in absence of calculator.

True. These gadgets made us brainless Robots. Additionally, health of the children who are exposed to these gadgets will take a big blow.

It is true that gadgets damage brains. It began with the calculator. In our school days it was compulsory to memorize multiplication tables up to 20. But when we started depending calculators, as Gulshanji mentioned, we forgot even calculating 2+2 using our brain.

It's a stark naked truth dear Ramakrishnan. Gadgets not only damage brains especially children but also make them over reliant on the gadgets simply reducing humans into Robots. The parents should realize this fact and avoid the exposure of children to the gadgets.

Yes more usage of these gadgets is not good. It is okay if it is limited under parents guidance.

Absolutely excessive usage of smart phones and gadgets have an impact on anyone's brain. I remember when I was not having a smart phone I used to be very social and used to chat with people but not now since I have purchased a smart phone.

Aha ha. That's a true and sincere confession. But think about your health, children and family  dear Sanjeev.

I always try not to use my phone much but what to do I can't help when I am having phone in my hand.

Another thing that gradually disappears is the habit of Reading. Due to extensive use of TV, computers, smartphones, etc., books may face  ‘extinction’ from this world.

Definitely a mistake of enormous proportions. All great leader have one thing common. They are voracious readers. Now these gadgets are killing the habit of reading, Books are the best and cheap source of knowledge.
