Eggs are good source of nourishment. But these are not for anganwadis in M.P. as C.M. does not like eggs.

It is the height of foolishness. It means the availability of food in the market or Anganwadis is according to the likes and dislikes of the CM?

No eggs but milk would be introduced to children and pregnant women in anganwadi in MP. Jain communities are pressing for this to give milk and banana instead of eggs.

More than Half the population of this country is vegetarian so an alternate food is welcome. A good decision by MP government.

Though it is true, the minister should have stated the reason for stopping the eggs.

The reason is simple. It is personal like and dislike of the C.M. that matters. Then Jains have influenced.  It would be better to give some choice to local anganwadis. They could be given choice in food menu.  Eggs and milk both are good diet. Eggs could be served on alternate days.

Absolutely sir. The minister's decision is one sided. There should not be any room for thrusting one's personal likes and dislikes. A person at the helm of the affairs must see the picture in a larger canvas.

These decisions are implemented at the jain majority areas and they are pressure groups there and in democracy pressure groups does have say and administration agree to it.

then such governments which yield to a few groups is not fit to sit at the helm of the affairs.

Agreed. Any group may pressurize for own interest but has no business to pressurize for thrusting its practices or views on others. It is okay for jains to insist that they will not eat eggs but they cannot pressurize others also not to eat eggs.

We shall have no governments in India then as the governments in democracy work according to public's demands.
