My husband 5 years before jumped from Centurion bank to ICICI bank and after 1 year he jumped back to Centurion. Till now he is there....(at present HDFC bank).
I think, in banking field it is not a big problem.

I have an open offer to join my previous company which I left in 2009, but I have mo intention to go back despite their increased offer. No more interested in regular job. I have done enough.

It is okay to rejoin big concerns where nobody even notices that you are former employee. This is really an issue with small concerns where the boss and all others are closer and the fact of rejoining is always in mind of every one.

That is one of the biggest private sector limited company in telecommunication of its kind and I was one of the senior most employees, with a package that would sound so big, so I would keep to myself. That was a hard decision but no roll back.

This link will help many people to get back to their previous job easily. Many a times it becomes difficult for someone to do so.
That's good information. Mostly people don't used to go in their previous company unless they give very attractive offer.

Reluctance to rejoin former employer is usually psychological. This is more if the last experience was not good enough. This is like reluctance of marrying the woman you divorced.

Possibly, circumstances might have changed since quitting last employer. If the circumstances presently justify joining former employer, there should be no hesitation.

This depends on reasons for which you left the previous job. If you had good relation with the company and you left the organization for other reasons, there should be no reluctance. If you left the former employer for bad relations, it is better not to join again.

You are absolutely correct! I know of some cases where return was not a problem!
