As far as my understanding goes Right and Left politics can be explained as following.
Right:-Better person to better society
Left :-Society first individual second.

Share your political views and ideas.Out of the two which one you support and why?

Left means Communist party...right???
I never support them since I feel they cause a lot of violence in our state. Am not saying right hand is good....only better than left...that's all

Yes..Communist party comes under Left.Left Right is a broad classification. It would be better if we discuss about the ideology rather tallking about a particular party. So keeping aside your opinion about a particular party, which political view you support?
Actually I know nothing about the views of political parties. Only thing I know is...they never keep their promises...left or right...both are not right!!! ha ha

Looking at these labels and going by my experience,I find some kind of artificiality into them. There are fewer leftists parties in the country who really practice what they preach! The taste of the pudding is in the eating! Isn't it?
Why conservatives or pro establishment are called 'right' and the 'anti establishment' or radical left.

Historically, peoples' representatives would sit to to left of the crown and the court officers/ ministers to his right. Hence the terms- Left and Right.

The right are considered no changers, conservatives, pro establishment

The left are considered as radical, revolutionary, anti establishment

There is degree of 'left' or 'right'. So there are extreme left, moderately left, moderates, right, extreme right.

These are shades of political opinion. No ideology is perfect. Exchange of thoughts between different ideologues brings real solutions. In a democracy, we need all shades of political and social opinion. All should be tolerant and respect each other. This ensures that nation goes in the proper direction and is protected from extremity of any kind.

Let us come to politics in India. The Right is led by B.J.P. that includes various parties grouped as National Democratic alliance. Congress is a centrist party and leads various other parties collectively termed as United Progressive alliance. Most of the parties in both alliances are regional and some of these change their alliance partner just for sticking to power. The classic case is of Trinmool Congress who participated in power at center as constituent of N.D.A. and is now in U.P.A..

The left is comparatively weaker force. The left consists of C.P.I.(M), C.P.I., Forward block and Revolutionary socialist party. They perform as one block as 'Left alliance' in parliament and outside. The left had prominent role in United Front or Third Front governments led by V.P. Singh, Deve Gauda and Inder Kumar Gujaral. The left also supported first U.P.A. government. The left always supported from outside and never fought for any personal benefits or share in exploits of power. The left are relatively free from dynastic politics, regionalism, caste or religion based politics and corrupt practices. This is obvious as they are not interested in ministerial berths like others but support from outside on policy basis.

Thus the left are on higher moral pedestal and more selfless. They are also not involved in so many scams like U.P.A. and N.D.A. Their role is better for the nation. But in view of their weak organization, they are less effective. On the whole, the left are the only hope in environment of corruption, dynastic, region and caste based politics.

Thanks Gulshanji for the brief description of Indian political scenario.I take it that you are a left sympathizer.
I think everything changes once you have the power. The left may be best option today but you cannot guarantee ideological corruption once power comes to hand.World politics is full of such examples.
Some ideas of left are really good. Actually left-right combination of changing the thrown in Kerala has really made it a place to live in, people having better education and good standard of living. Also weaker sections are less exploited.

Left always raises against land owners and rich people assuring better living conditions and wages to poor people. I appreciate it. But seeing private firms as only business institutions....I can't approve it. Big organizations are not coming to Kerala only because of this. Even if right put forward such ideas, including many IT developments, left won't allow them to flourish in Kerala saying big companies exploiting poor people. Their policy is that full employment should be done by government itself, and no private organizations should be allowed. Is it possible for a highly populated country to give jobs to all citizens??? Not at all.
I disagree with this policy of left

In fact, big business, big landlords and even foreign western powers discourage Left. I also do not blindly support the left. Also, I have no direct knowledge of Left rule in Kerala or other states. But I am convinced that they followed a very positive policy in national politics. They supported UPA/ Third from governments only on policy basis from outside without seeking any personal favor. On the other hand, even very tiny parties with even two members sought ministerial berths and other benefits. All party leaders dupe the people by beginning election campaign from temple whereas communists act strictly in secular way. They do not go to touch feet of fake Sadhus unlike Congress, BJP and other regional politicians.
