    A death is a death whether it is of a prime minister or someone common and I think the offenders should be severely punished whatever the punishment be. The three involved with the murder had links with the then dangerous LTTE Group.

    The assassination of our late prime minister back in 1991 was really a very shameful matter and a black day in Indian history and if now the same criminals are getting punishments there is no way to think otherwise....

    Rajiv killers were of LITTE who killed Rajive Gandhi for a 'cause'. There are still supporters of LITTE who consider that the killers were right. Hence this misplaced sympathy. There will always be unreasonable and irrational people who may go to any extreme.

    Rajiv Gandhi was killed in most heinous manner by the traitors and terrorists. There should be no mercy. It will be a bad example to save the killers from gallows for the reason of delay in hanging. Delay is partly owing to the killers themselves. Moreover, if these brutal killers are saved, this will set a bad example and encourage the terrorists instead of deterring them.

    This is really bad on our constitution part. Taking 20 years time to declare the punishment of the rajiv Gandi Killers.

    Here I found some of my boddunan friends are telling that rajiv gandhi is selfish and all. But guys once think, In politics who are not selfish tell me. Never blame any one without any proof or witness whatever it may be. If you go in to politics you will also get polluted. ok

    I agree. The Rajiv killers have been in jail awaiting death for more than a decade. Death will be another punishment. So, the plea for commutation of death sentence to life imprisonment is not without justification.

    But apart from merit of the case, the wave of sympathy for terrorist killers is horrifying. The unanimous resolution by state assembly also seems uncalled for. These are unethical practices for influencing judiciary.
