Eminent cartoonist, creator of the well known cartoon character " Common man" and the younger brother of legendary writer RK Narayn, RK. Laxman breathed his last today in Pune.

    RK Laxman was a legendary cartoonist and some of them wereso were witty, at the same time depicting a slice of life in India...He will be remembered forever for his contributions. May his soul rest in peace !

    No one knows the art of Cartoonism better than RK.subtlity is his forte? There cannot be another RK. may his rest in peace.

    Yes, true he was best at his work. RK Laxman also designed the illustration of his brother's RK Narayan's famous Malgudi Days.

    He has illustrated all the novels of his elder brother RK. Narayan. Above all, he has seen the things through our eyes. That made him unique.

    RK Laxman was a cartoonist with great insight in the subject of his cartoons. I remember reading his cartoon the first thing in the TOI every morning. Some of his cartoons are legendary. May his soul rest in peace.
