Why the title "Most Popular Questions?"

In Q n A section I clicked the tab "Most Popular".There appeared some questions.The first one was answered by 10, second one answered by 14, third one two,fourth one four and fifth one only one!

I also noticed that many questions are answered more than this which comes some where in list.But later when I looked they are in order of posting questions.Then why it should be given the title "Most Popular Questions?"

    I think most popular questions are those that are read by more people. It is possible that number of clicks are considered while assessing popularity of question. This is my guess. I hope moderator will confirm my view or give the exact answer.

    As said gulshan most popular questions are the ones which are clicked more number of times and depend on the existence also

    Other than click the count of number of answers is also considered..However it is just our assumption..

    What Gulshan said is correct. Most popular questions are the ones which are most read by users. And most answered questions - the name suggests.

    Moderator,
    I think it will become clear if the date of posting question or forum discussion is given rather than this hours,days and weeks as I once suggested.Then we can easily know whether it is in order of posting or actually popular one.At present you just go to most popular question and look how you feel.

    There is a column called Hits in most popular questions list which is not available on any other list. Anyway, I will make it highlight so that it would not be confusing.
