These two medals show that given proper diet and training Indians can win, but sad that for a nation of 1200 million only 2 medals? Even a improvised country like Kenya has 4 Gold. The national diet needs to be greatly improved as a population where ,45% live below poverty line cannot be expected to produce world class athletes.

Yes definitely. The govt needs to take the steps to ensure proper training, facilities and support infrastructure for the sports person. Only then we will be able to excel in international events like the Olympics. There are many other talented people not only in sports but also other fields who are unable to get the deserved recognition because of lack opportunities and funds.

I feel we have a lot of raw talent in the country which needs some fine tuning. If this fine tuning could be taken up by the govt we Indians can achieve a lot in all fields and not only sports.

It is also sad and unfortunate  that another wrestler Narsingh Yadav has now been banned for four years because of doping charges. Understandably he is devastated and wants the intervention of the PM..However if the charges are true then he has to face the consequences , no two ways about it !

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

First, the charges of Doping on Narsing Yadav were absolved. This was a month back. Then there was a talk that Narsing was a victim of a big scheme to see he's disqualified for Rio. But this new tur shocked me. He was a prospective medal winner.

Yes, if charges are true then he should face the music. Before he left for the meet there was a selection controversy. Sushil Kumar got rejected and he was selected but the whole selection process was done very hurriedly. It is always very easy to blame an unknown rival group for all the negative charges. I agree that sometimes rivals do play a spoilsport but it needs to be proved especially when the country's prestige is involved.

This really makes you feel proud of our special citizens ..They have shown the way to other athletes ..At the Special Olympics Indian Athletes have scored as many as 173 medals standing third after the USA and China ..Not much is made of them though while the media ad  the entire nation focuses on the normally gifted players who are yet to come up to the international standards after so many decades of participation..

First the wrestler was exonerated by NADA, National Anti Doping  Agency. Poor wrestler was making himself for wrestling, that was scheduled to open his campaign today. I'm in a confusion.
