New kind of slavery- girls paying the price for fashion

Poverty is the breeding ground for many social evils. Poverty makes the people desperate and in that condition of desperation people will not think about any thing except a way to fill the belly.

Indeed there are many form of slavery. One is of girl child sent for making fashionable garments for a lump sum later for her marriage. Here it may be added that still child labor is used in many other industries. This is a subtle form of slavery. small children work in hazardous conditions in glass industry at Firozabad (Uttar Pradesh) as well.

When I was ten years old I travelled with my parents with daddy's LTC towards north India, We have been there at Ferozbad and plenty fo glass material there, if I could recall, now I came to know that all these are produced with child labor, it feels bad though.

The worst form of slavery is found at Sivakasi in Tamilnadu where all the fire crackers are made under the most dangerous and unhealthy conditions.Almost 80% of the labor force is children and noone has done anything much so far...Every year there at least a few deaths because of the kind of work involved..

This is the worst situation where the children are exposed to such dangerous works.

There are several industries like slate and Zinc industries where children are used extensively. Many children are the victims of Cirrhosis of liver.

This is really sad even on small shops we see kids working there but that's due to poverty they are forced to do work. Its very sad that they have to work when they should study. :evil:
