Third front will not work since there is already a third front with AAP coming into the picture. Whether Kejriwal likes it or not he will have to form alliance with someone or the other because one cannot stand alof when it is a question of government formation. So in effect one can say that Kejriwals party will be the third front since it is going to be a challenge for the
major parties. Even if AAP manages to get as many seats as it did in Delhi , they will be able to call the shots!

Now Kejriwal's success left an impact on the regional parties. Becaise AAP busted a myth that only a National party can rule the country. In AP. AAP has opened its office and soon the membership drive will start. In the background of Bifurcation of the state and BJP's non existence here, AAP is going to cash advantage in the forthcoming elections.

Here in Mangalore the AAP office was started even before the Delhi elections and the volunteers had a meeting with the public and now it has become a bigger organisation calling for candidates to contest the coming elections. From what I hear they have many prominent people of our town joining and campaigning for it in the coming elections !

Yes. Here too, many prominent and highly educated and even some congress members are joining the new party. In the month of February, election notifications are expected. Anyhow AAP said its going to contest for Loksabha elections of 20 states. Out of that AP is also included.
In the past there are many examples of third front ruling at center and how they mismanaged the country in entirity and how country have seen elections after elections within short specified times.

The third front governments were notr involved in corruption/ scams and were governing better. Their only drawback was that the depended on Congress or BJP for their survival. But if they get more number than combined strength of Congress and BJP, things will differ.

Of course there is the necessity for the third front parties to get more seats than the combined seats of Congress and BJP, which seemed once like an uphill task. But now there seems to a hope with the deterioration of congress popularity and insufficient spread of BJP in all the states of South. Now it remains to be seen in which direction the wind blows.

Most of the non congress non BJP parties are regional. It is necessary that the third front gets some leadership that is national in outlook even if dominant in some regions only. The parties like DMK, AIADM are regional not only geographically but also in outlook. But the left parties, Nationalist Congress Party, Bahujan samaj party, Samajvaadi party, Naveen Patnaik and his party- have national outlook and policies. There is no doubt that if third front gets leadership and inspiration of leaders with national outlook, we can progress in right direction.

I agree with you. Its the National outlook that is the need of the hour with focus on the welfare of the country as a whole. And of course as you said, its equally important to move in the right direction.

And here lies the problem, can you imagine Mayavati, Lalu, Mulayam, Mamta, Jailalitha, Karat, Soren, Kejriwal etc etc coming on the same platform and settle for any one name for PM?

Some of these were in third group alliance and also in UPA/NDA. The actual alliance will be only after results are declared considering respective party strength. Presently, we can only anticipate.

No. Definitely they cannot, because each on of them wander in their dreams of sitting on the throne. And above all each one has a an agenda of his own. And this agenda is anything but National Agenda,
DMK, AAIDMK were part of the government formation earlier at the center and are no less important than north parties and the so called ones with natiional outlook.Their national outlook remains only to the extent where their leaders want to become PMs.I can any day accept Jayalalitha than Mulayam Singh or Mayawati as PM...

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

DMK and AIADMK are no doubt important but it cannot be denied that these have no national outlook. Hence strong presence of some parties with national outlook is necessary in third front. Jai lalitha is also desirous of being P.M. This issue of P.M. will be decided after election results.
