    Shankaracharya is a seer, with all due respect. I would say who has entrusted him with the authority of asking people whom should they believe or worship. I agree that building temples for Sai Baba or for that matter any Gods/Goddesses should be minimal. Building a place of worship doesnot prove one to be religious or doesn't guarantee blessing of various Gods. Because God is omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient.

    However, the great seer should not hurt the religious sentiments of so many people. Shankaracharya says that since Sai baba is a human being and not a God, he shouldn't be worshiped. So, does he claim that he has actually witnessed a Hindu God?


    I agree with you MMousumi.Seerrs should know their own limits and act. Already Saibaba devotees started agitating and demanding an apology from Sankaracharya. Who is responsible for the unrest? He has moved the Hornet nest.

    People should exhibit their discontentment. If people keep quiet, these atrocities by Sankaracharya will go unstopped. He should know what the people wrath is.

    Sai baba devotees arr putting portait of Ram and Durga nearer to his feet. These are what Shankaracharya speak about. He is authorized yo speak about.

    Shankaracharya speaks when there is erosion of principles of Sanatan dharma by any sect, these are not new, as in past Ram Rahim baba and some other baba try to mix and dilute religion and then also Shankaracharya speaks about this.

    Sanatana dharma teaches in no uncertain terms about tolerance. It allows freedom . That's why it survived for centuries. In this regard people are not ready to hear the false notions of Sankaracharya.

    Sanatan dharma teaches to respect what is written inside holy scripts, it has never been tolerant or hard liner, it is Buddhism which is tolerant but now it is becoming aggressive at many parts of Sri Lanka. Sanatan Dharma knows how to protect its own religion and that is why it stays forever.

    Holy scripts and Sanatana dharma never differed. What Sanatana dharma taught is being reflected in Puranas.
    Sanatana Dharma looks upon a person as a part and parcel of the mighty Whole, but never regards him as “the Measure of all things.” In the West, “person” is a supreme and final value, while Sanatana Dharma regards person as a part of the Whole, having the same vital essence as all other human and sub-human creatures of the universe. This cosmic view of Hinduism transcends the sectarian or group dogmas and paves a way for the coexistence of all creatures under the Vedic principle of Vasudev Kutumbhkam, meaning “The Universe is One Family.” This principle guides the humankind towards universal harmony through acceptance and tolerance.
