Here are some links on assembly elections. The verbal attack on rival parties is visible. Amul Baby comment is very hurting to Congress. Sushma Swaraj of BJP commented that sonia Gandhi in three different meetings asked voters to support Left front. She also commented on Rahul gandhi remarks on Chief Minister Achuthanandan little realizing that Karunanidhi is also so old.

Congress expects victory in Kerala as well as in West Bengal.

Pranab Mukherjee laments withdrawal of support by left from last UPA. If Left corrects itself by accepting advice of Pranab, very likely next elections Congress will contest by allying with Left against Mamata.

The elections in Kerala and Tamilnadu today are crucial. Pondicherry also goes to polls. Karunanidhi and Achuthanandan both are octogenerian. There is tradition of change of ruling party in Kerala. Karunanidhi's DMK is involved in 2g scam. Hence both face stiff battle. Congress is a minor force in Tamilnadu as well as West Bengal. But Congress is leading UDA in Kerala. Amul babies may get a chance in Kerala.

Mamata Banerje is confident that Left rule will end. She also says that BJP and Congress diddidents are CPM Agents. If so, why CPI(M) can not have agents in Trinmool also.

AIADMK alliance is hopeful of winning. However, it is to be seen whether AIADMK gets majority on its own. Generally, Jaya Lalitha does not stick to election allies once the elections are over. If she gets even a few seats less than clear majority, she may persuade allies to support her fromoutside.

I think in Tamilnad both AIADMK and DMK practice this.
