Union Budget is presented on last day of February every year. But this year this will be delayed because of elections in states. This hardly appears apt. Budgetary exercise is not related to state elections.

They want some excuse and they have give excuse of elections in state. We have nothing to do rather than to wait.
No Devyani it is due to election commission's rule. Government can not declare any thing when election declared.

Budget is an annual exercise. It is not proper that normal functioning of government is hampered during elections. Suppose that there is aggression by foreign country. Will election commission stop national defence during elections? The practice of stopping government work during elections needs be reexamined so as to allow proper and normal functioning of government.

I saw in newspaper that the budget differed due to election.

What you read in newspaper is correct. Election commission stopped budge presentation on due date. I personally feel that normal running of government should not be affected during elections. This unnecessarily handicaps government and harms people.
