    She definitely was a vey brave woman who was able to make a mark in a man's world..... She made some mistakes for which she paid too heavy a price which was really unfortunate ! But no matter what , she will be remembered forever !

    Well known for her guts Smt. Indira was once described as "Indira is India and India as Indira." May her soul rest in peace.


    She was better than present politicians. Indeed she was iron lady and capable to taking hard decisions. At present India need leader like her.

    Indira Gandhi is remembered all over the world. She was the only lady who became PM of India and also for a long time. She is called "Iron Lady" because nobody could stop her from reaching her target. I pay her homage.


    Seeing her defiance to Americat, Henry Kissenger ,the then Foreign secretary expressed his anger saying, "That Woman". This speaks of her guts which was never repeated by any of the PMs who succeeded her. A cartoonist described her as the only man in her cabinet.


    No doubt, she could take great risks. Once she was reduced to minority and her government worked with support of about twenty four communist M.P.s only. She decided to dissolve Lok Sabha and hold fresh elections that gave her two third majority. Now nobody will take such risk. You take risk only when you have self confidence.
