Yes, marriage is a legal and social obligation but at the same time anything which is obligatory and not out of genuine concern or love becomes strangulating

Love may be less as time passes but genuine concern for each other still remains. It is only in extreme cases of total distrust and mutual disliking that relation becomes strangulating.

Concern for each other is also love but in a different form.

Love is definitely not a myth but reality say it between children and parents or between lovers or in marriages. It just changes its form and shape and appearance. As time flies couples might sometimes find themselves distracted or not that much into love but this is only because, now their life has become more busy or they have more responsibilities for which they cannot give as much time as they used to give one another. This absolutely does not mean that there is no more love in their relationship. I think with time and with maturity love changes its form.

Sometimes we are so stressed out that we might not be able to give much time to our spouse but that does not mean that there is no more love in a relationship.
