I will request him to move away or I will quit the place.
i think the best way is to move from the place rather than requesting them to move.

This is okay if you are at an outdoor place without work. You may not just move away from a smoker if in a bus, train, office, restaurant. There, you may either request the smoker to smoke somewhere else or contact the incharge there to stop smoking.

The best way to avoid such situation is to move away from that place.
Smoking in public is forbidden and you must assert your right. Always moving away does not help. Today, while coming to office in an auto, I asked one person not to smoke. He immediately accepted my request. At a tea stall, a person smoking cigarette himself moved away.
We have to be pragmatic. If you are at a place where all other or most are smokers, they are not likely to oblige. There you must tolerate or move yourself.

i will change my seat if doesn;t agreed to stop smoking
The situation is a lot better now! Now a firm yet polite request fetches positive result!
We should ask him to smoke away from you. If he don't goes away from you, then it is better that we should move away from, because we need to take care of ourself.

Well polite way can help sometimes but i have see lot of villagers smoking tobacco leaf which is really very strong to inhale..we cannt stop them even with polite request as they dont understand how harmful it is.
