    Sandhya the picture that you posted if of Frangipani, called Devchapha in Marathi. The Sonchapha is commonly called Golden Frangipani and its trees are in abundance in Maharashtra.

    So, Devchapha....means something related to God. This plant is not grown in houses, seen only in temples. What about Maharashtra? :whistle:

    Yes, Pluaria trees grow mostly around temples so its called Devchapha, but now many have started planting it their gardens because the tree even without flowers looks very beautiful. We now get a variety that can be planted in containers as well!
