Yes that is an old tradition there, that makes them feel hat this practice would be good for their kids but that is a risky job.

Just imagine the trauma they undergo while that is done, there was an incident when a child slipped out of the saree that is held below and got hurt, but even after that the tradition goes on...

This is one of the useless rituals practiced in India. I hope steps are taken to stop it before more kids get hurt. :(

I know its difficult to eliminate such traditions but not impossible someone has to take lead to stop such traditions which occur in almost all villages. :blink:
