I too saw the Google Doodle for Independence Day. It was nice but I haven't seen it before , I missed it since 2003.

Since 2003, almost every year, Google has been commemorating Indian independence.
The search giant Google celebrated India’s independence day with a doodle. We can see Google’s home page adorned with the Tricolour in the form of a ribbon that flows around the Google Logo.

As a matter of policy Google respects and highlights all such occasions which keep people of that particular country more associated with this search engine. Every good business house knows this fact. That is why Yahoo have fallen far behind. By the way this feature is applicable country specifically.

Yes the feature is applicable to the concerned country. Google's policy of maintaining sound customer relations is impeccable.

That's because your IP address that's unique to your computer shows your location and accordingly Google displays their home pages.
Saving some of our politicians everyone else has respect for India. I am ashamed to view a telecast
wherein two Indian leaders were fighting with each other for their claim for hoisting the national flag.
Such persons, who insulted the very integrity and soverighnity of the country, should be taken to task
at once since it created a shameful example and disrespect to the national flag on the Independence
Day. They should not, indeed, have the right to be in politics of the country.

As regards Google, I have posted many articles on Google Doodles, who promptly and punctually
highlight the importance of the day through their doodles. And the narrations are true, meaningful
and encouraging.

Welcome MK on boddunan, I am pleasantly surprised to see you among us. I hope to see more posts on regular basis on forums read your articles on this site. As far politicians fighting for such issues, we see them fighting to sing or not to sing Vandematram in our local councils every day.

Could be person specific as well, recently Google doodle appeared as 'birthday logo' especially on ram Babu's page with cake and candles on his birthday. A rare scenario.
