    Smoking in public places is not allowed in Kerala. I want to know if this rule exists all over India or a few states


    A nationwide law that prohibited smoking in public places was implemented in 2008. But one can smoke on the roads and I have even seen people smoking in public vehicles. :angry:


    A law works only if the affected individuals care. If you do not resist the smoker or complain against him or the auto driver or manager of public place, there is nothing to stop smoking. Laws helps. But this is on you to use that help.

    That law is very strict in Kerala.
    I have not seen even a single person with cigarettes in public places after that law was implemented. 100% literate people :woohoo: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

    After govt.banned the gutka products the shopkeeper are selling those items at the double rate.Even some of them are selling it in black.

    It exists but people damn care about it and if you argue with a smoker doing it on the public place he would not stop and even would ask you to leave that place. :evil:

    Seriously I had to literally shout at a person whom I found smoking in a bus recently I was travelling in. He ignored my repeated requests to stop creating problems for others as the smoke seems getting to your head specially when you are travelling.

    Its still not fully banned people are still selling it the only difference is now they are selling it on higher price than they used to in the past before the law was passed in Delhi. :evil:

    It will not decrease using tobacco and gutka but more expence from public pocket.
