    I am not sure about that, some banks esp the private banks may inform their customers individually but the nationalised banks may not do so..

    State bank is saying that they will send cheque boob at your home with in 15th December.

    Most banks post or courier cheques books these days so this time too that would be the case....anyway the old cheques will be honored for some time after the end of the year too...
