Even I think films are films but one must think about the emotions and feelings of public too sometime the scenes in the film may agitate people.

let me watch the movie once to find if Muslims are right
his last movie 'Dasavatharam' also created a lot of fuss among Hindus..a movie telling the story of Siva followers and Vishnu followers. Now I can't remember those scenes, but they were removed later.

This is not so much a question of right or wrong. There is nothing that everyone will feel right. Feeling right or wrong is no genuine cause for stopping screening of a movie. Freedom of expression and art can be maintained only if you tolerate even that which you consider wrong. Once a movie has been issue certificate by Censor Board, it is unjust, arbitrary and whimsical to stop screening of a movie.

I agree that is why censor board is there who decides what is to be banned and what not.

Surprisingly, the counsel for state government made very silly and uncharitable remarks about censor board. He went to the extent of dubbing censor Board as 'purchasable commodity'.

Ultimately Kamal Hasan agreed to cut 7 cuts objected by the Muslim leaders
I feel that this whole trend of bowing down to pressure is wrong, the film has already been censored by a censor board appointed by the government...I find it deplorable that we are so intolerant that we are not able to take anything out of the way even if it only in films, where is the need to take films so seriously? I have heard from people who have watched the film that it is taut suspense thriller and the so called objectionable dialogues and scenes are so short that they can easily be missed ...

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

In Tamil Nadu, it is not released. It will be released only on 8th February after removing few scenes as requested. But in few states, full version is running. If you go Pondicherry, you can watch full version.

one country ...one film with two versions running  quite interesting :silly: :silly:
Will Muslims and their emotions change from state to state  :silly: ?

Now I remember movie Harikrishnans of 1997. it's the movie after years when Mamootty and Mohanlal worked together. As the name suggests, name of both are Harikrishnan and both try to impress Juhi Chawla, who plays the central role of the movie. you will be interested to know who married her at last :P
In Malabar (North Kerala) as it's Muslim nominated place, Mamootty marries Juhi while in South, Mohan lal marries her :silly: :silly:   . This movie was released with double climax

Rate of sensitivity differs from person to person. One of my colleagues wattched this movie yesterday at Pondicherry with his family. To watch the movie, he went there from Chennai (Where he resides) with his family. He feels much satisfied. He told me that movie is awesome.

This is very unfortunate in democracy. I Like Kamal Hassan as a great actor.
