No party could withstand BJP and no leader could stand tall in front of Narendra Modi and thus his victory was for sure.

Other parties including Congress looked like midgets before Modi in these elections.

I had no doubts in the victory of Modi but was surprised to see congress losing so badly to Modi. I thought with the powerful campaign made by Rahul Gandhi, Congress too would give a tough fight to BJP.

The Congress thought that it was a powerful campaign. But in reality it looked pale and listless. Now Congress cannot win the elections on empty talks.

Since ages we have been seeing parties campaigning and winning elections and then successfully completing their elected periods on empty talks and thus this isn't new to us. Hope Modi would not disappoint us.

Now the voters realized that noise makers are no more useful. They need Performers. That's why Modi could win.

It's too early to say anything. His work in the next 5 years will make us decide whether he is performer or another noise maker. Disappointed crowd have no choice. When Congress disappoints them, they see a hope in BJP and when BJP disappoints them, they go back to Congress. Such is the dilemma of a layman.

He has already shown that he can deliver in his 15 year tenure as CM of Gujrat, so that is not a worry, and anyway it can never be as bad as UPA2 in any case...

Yes. We test a grain of rice not the entire entire rice to see if the rice is cooked or not. For many years our erstwhile rulers made us to eat uncooked rice.Nothing an be as worst as UPA2
