    LOL...But to pronounce Foreign names as they pronounce is difficult. The same difficulty is faced by the foreigners to pronounce Indian names. An Indian cricket player's name Subrahmanyam was annihilated by an Australian cricket commentator as 'SUPER AMMONIUM.
    Of course it evoked lot of laughter.


    LOL, that sounds funny :laugh: Thats true ! Some German and Scandinavian names are unpronunciable ....


    I think a name like Dag Hammarskjold can never be pronounced correctly by anybody except himself and his countrymen.


    Try pronouncing Thai names .

    Why, even in the same country, a north Indian cannot pronounce a South Indian names. A south Indian cannot pronounce a Bengali name correctly.


    Apparently in Bengali the sound V is not there so they replace it with Bhi and it is fun to hear. South Indian names are now shorter than before. I had a friend in college who had a name N.. S. V. L. Nagesh.


    I too had a friend whose name is A to Z Kumar. Because he has all the alphabets before KUMAR .

    Few years back especially before ten years, when I was in Bangalore at first site there was a place called MG road for one year I could not have been comprehended why that sort and then slowly know it was in the name of father of nations, in South brilliant use of short names are used and in chennai and Vizag I have seen its uses.

    Locals are aware of the short names. Even though I'm a South Indian, the short names in Chennai or Bangalore will puzzle who come from another Southern state.

    Insanity at its height. What the foolish thief is going to do with those Medical reports?. Anyhow his spokes person lodged a complaint about the theft.
