Recently on 14th May 2010, when 5 police constables were standing near a picket outside the police station, two people on a two-wheeler opened fire at them. The attackers fled from the scene after firing at the constables.

A police constable was killed and two other constables were injured!!!

According to the Police sources, they claim that the banned "Student's Islamic Movement of India (SIMI)" is behind the attack. They suspect "Syed Viqaruddin", the SIMI activist....

If this is the case with the police constables, friends... Do you think that there is social security for common man in Hyderabad????

There has been a very disturbing deterioration in the internal situation in the country and nobody is safe these days.
I think as far as internal safety is concerned yes the situation is getting worst day by day. All enforcement agencies are required to be strengthened.

I thinks its problem of security nothing else. Security team should be alert and strong.

The Indian police fights with lathies against AK47!! I think they should be given enough weapons and training to fight for social security.
This is very much concerned about the security of the police men and the common public!

Yes. Our police people use very old weapons. Today technology is very much widened its wings. We must use modern weapons. Otherwise we can't face terrorist attacks.

A very unfortunate and sad incidenet. These incidents are on the rise and frantic measures should be taken to put a curb to these!

In Naxal ridden areas, security personnel are literally getting slaughtered in large numbers almost every day! This itself shows how poor we are at internal security!

Regarding this issue, police suspects that Hyderabad’s most wanted terrorist, Vicaruddin alias Vicar Ahmed, escaped to Karnataka.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the city police took five suspects into custody.

The terrorist organizations are always for the hunt of innocent lives particularly the security forces. The death of the constable is really pathetic.
Security needs be tightened but it is not feasible to post one security man for every man. We have to live with the danger.
