If artist prefer appreciation than wealth how can he live as for food it costs and now it costs more due to continuous rise of inflation, if artist does not prefer money, slowly, he will be dieing without food, then it is premature death of talent and what is the cost of talent, artist should prefer money and it is for sure just like when a topper student asks the reason for success, he would say it is due to teacher, and the concerned teacher feels happy for it and then when the teacher was asked what his meritorious student should do, the teacher would want his student should be topper in every competitive examination, appreciation is wealth and it cannot surpass material wealth but still material wealth which preserve artist, as artist becomes more intense in his act after becoming older. It is the duty of artist to preserve his talent and he/she should not feel belittle in collecting money as with money he is not saving his/her life but saving his talent and making it long last.

Geeta says 'Nishkama Karma', means selfless service without expecting returns is the noblest of all the deeds that makes one immortal. Great Musicians like Beethoven, Sculptors like Michel Angelo never charged money for their works. Great artist Vincent Vangogh preferred to die in penury than to charge money. Their talents and their deeds made them immortal. They live even today.

Even in the great temple architecture in India like Khajuraho we will not see the artists signature anywhere on their works. Contrary to this any artist worth his salt even if he draws a straight line, he signs his name in bold letters.
