    This is Googgle's clarification on "International Women's day" on Google+, Happy internatiional women's day.


    Check out the link, given by Google a small one minute video featuring 100 successful women around the world, Asha Bhonsle of India is featured among 100 successful women around the world by Google.


    There are many lists and a single list is too small to cover innumerable women who made a difference and found themselves in the pages of History.

    In India we are celebrating on 8th. The thread posted by Gulshan about "Women who changed history" also says that the article was written in connection with the international women's day on 8 March.
    It is international women's day and on one day whole world will celebrate and acc to Mr. Google it is today.

    It'a matrilineal tradition, where woman has the say in the family. Matrilineal tradition is also not free from deficiencies. In this tradition men become complacent and indulge in drug addiction and all kinds of bad habits, thus adding more burden to the woman

    The woman is head of household and inherits property. However, men occupy authority in community as headman and other responsibilities. Men and women both have role.

    The link says of late there are protests from the men folk in the tribe demanding equal rights along with women.Sociologists say that cracks started appearing in this ancient system. There is an indication in the system it may not last longer.

    Personally I feel that there should be no need for such a day ! There are as many women ( may be a percent , two or five less) as men in this world so what is the point ? It also goes to show that women are still weak and need to be humored...

    Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

    Personally I feel that there should be no need for such a day ! There are as many women ( may be a percent , two or five less) as men in this world so what is the point ? It also goes to show that women are still weak and need to be humored...


    And treat them as you like the whole year and then humor them for just one day, sing praises, heap accolades on the women and the very next day, people are ready to ogle at them and grope them at the first chance! :blink:
