It will be great service to the country if super cool ???Shiela Dixit ,who has shown what a leech she can be when it comes to furthering her self interest at public expense, is removed from politics altogether.! With all that she still wants to show her power although it is well known that UPA has done worse during their tenure !

What NDA has done is according to earlier precedences. Many Governors resigned with dignity because of earlier precedents. Sheila is also aware of this. Still she clings to her seat Nothing but hunger for power.

Refusing to accept unlawful order of the new regime does not tantamount to hunger for power. If they have any legitimate reson to sack her, let them remove her lawfully. Here the dignity of the rulers at center is more at stake. Case of Sheila Dixit differs from others. Still she has more than four years tenure left. Also there is no CBI or other enquiry for which she may quit her post. In fact, dignity of the center is more at stake. Why do they want her to resign. Is this not for accommodating some of their own men? Sheila dixit is not boud to accept any precedents that are not according to law.

Shiela's ower hiunger is no secret and thats the sole reason why she was booted out of power in Delhi ...As far as NDA wanting their people , it is a precedence started by the 60 year old grand party so why do they now resist when their practice is being followed ? why not give in with dignity instead of holding on and being shunt out ! What is the constitutional position? The new government is unable to terminate her appointment constitutinally. Elections/ appointments for all offices are independent and are not related to union government. Now a counter question- should all CMs also resign when a new government is formed at center? Every incumbent of an office should be allod to complete his full tenure except when there are allegations of misconduct duly established. There is no way Sheila Dixit surrender to blackmail by the new rulers at center.

Absolutely. many a time even if there are no rules, its customary to quote precedences and follow accordingly for smooth running. A governor should be magnanimous without being dogged. Sail along the current. That's what i wanted to say.
