All said and done I guess Ramrajya was far better than what we have today - Rama may not have been an ideal husband to Sita but as far as looking after his people gooes, he put them before his own self and his wife .How many of ur politicians are willing to do that ?

Ram Rajya can never truely be created since it is a utopia..having perfect rules, everything perfect is something which will take years to implement. However, as we know nothing is impossible..so following the few rules can definitely help upgrade the present political system.

Chankaya has recorded hao administration should be run. manu has given laws. But we do not have any record of how to attain Ram rajya.

If Ramayana is read and understood well, it clearly indicates that fairness and justice to all prevailed. Women were safe and were not hurt or raped freely, there was plentiful of food for everyone etc. That is what is meant by Ramrajya. Since there are no written records about whether it truly existed or not, there still is Chanakya Niti that can be emulated which is probably no less than the Utopian concept of Ramrajya!

Ramayana is the biography of Lord Ram and essentially tells the story of his banishment to vanvasa and the subsequent struggle with Ravana to free Sita and his triumphant return to Ayodhaya. What I am basically seeking to know is where is the administration of
a kingdom written about in the Ramayana. Ramrajya is a myth developed by followers and not by Ramayana.

There is of course, no material in Ramayana or elesewhere about Rama's administration or Ram Rajya as aptly pointed out by a member. The business schools are actually learning from successful war management and war alliances made by Rama- and not his rule in Ayodhya.

When the ‘Ocean God’ was behaving erratically, Rama asks his brother Laxmana to get his bow and arrow and shoot at the troubling Ocean God. Rama said, ‘creating fear is the way to deal with a person who refuses to heed the warnings.’ A great example of strategic management.

In Uttara Kanda, Human resource management was dealt in depth. Rama himself set an example by ‘Walking the talk’, maintaining humility and remaining unperturbed during the times of adversity.

Are these not the same traits required to be present in a CEO stipulated by the management gurus and the top ranking Business schools of today?

Frankly, haven't got a chance to read Ramayana..but what you have mentioned can certainly be followed by any present day CEOs.
