That should be the ideal role of the parents even if they otherwise remain occupied with their own pursuits!
Childrens do better at school if quality time is spend with them...and not only quantity time....It is not necessary for mothers to stay home all the time...
Parental guidance and support is very much important for the progress of a child.
I have seen many cases where the parents tried to compensate their absence by giving a lot of money and very effectively spoiled their lives!
I agree Chinmoy such case often lead to bad habits like drugs and other illegal things. Some people can even develop suicidal tendency as they go into depression that no one cares about them.. :)
Women can very well opt for jobs which will never be a hindrance to both their professional and personal life.. :) :).Ample time must be dedicated to children to know more about their day today activities.
I firmly believe those who are sincere about their duties can perform both very successfully and ably!
When one talks of non working woman taking better care of children, the educated and responsible ones are in mind. As regards neglect of duty, the working women as well as non working women may neglect duty in family as well as office.
The actual arrangement will depend on peculiar circumstances. A smaller child needs more personal care. A child when a little grown up will adjust to environment and a talk on phone or meeting parents in the evening and morning may suffice.
