Only one month away from monsson. Kerala is the luckiest place in India to get it first....When schools re-open on June 1st, we can see a lot of kids with opened umbrella and rain coat all around.

Though school days are over for me. I still gets school memories when I see the rain. I hated it back then, but now I would love to go to my school, where I spent my 14 years (yeah! I studied from LKG to 12th in the same school) of my life - my entire childhood! Rain always brings good memories to my heart.

I agree with this statement.....even bad memories may feel nice :)

I think the even the ryme
RAIN RAIN GO AWAY
COME AGAIN ANOTHER DAY
LITTLE JOHN(...) WANTS TO PLAY
......

is not applicable.. maybe luck people like Sandhya, sasi and others can sing it.. ;) :)
There were thunder clouds and storms here today while the minister was announcing normal rain this year but there was no rain around.

At last, a good quote came from a new member :woohoo: :woohoo:

For the past 2 days, we are getting good rain. Paddy fields near our home are filling. Now, lots of birds are coming and their voices.....really sweet and prompting me to write something :woohoo:

Why can't you quote a rain poem with your own words, rajani.....?

Raathri Mazha is the most famous poem describing rain in Malayalam written by Sugatha Kumari. Raathri means Night...of course you.....and Mazha means rain
