Many parents admit their words in high fai school to show the prestige also.

Yes, giving more preference to prestige than kid's ambitions and talent is the root cause of all such evils   :S

Not only that now reading in English medium is very tough. Parents should be well trained also.

Actually parents have to learn first before they teach children

yes we are also studing with them.

Last week i talked with a friend of mine who is taking tuition to high school and college kids. She is saying, students who are studying in International schools have low standard comparing to state and CBSE students. Her opinion was about 10th and 12th standard students.
She says, "International schools are best for those kids who may live in any foreign country in future, where parents are staying abroad. Also, primary standards are best. No doubt, as it emphasize on spoken English a lot. But after that, they will be asked to learn their own and a little portions only are taught at school. i.e. They have to take their own decisions for learning, which may not be proved worth for all kids since each kid has distinct characters".

Monthly fee of Trivandrum international school for primary classes itself is above 1-1.5 lakh.

Pay no mind to those who talk behind your back, it simply means that you are two steps ahead !!!

I think good environment is necessary to children for good education. That is not important that school is expensive or international.

Kalyani, the problem with most people is that they fail to see the all round implications .There is no point in arguing with them when they fail to see that there are advantages as well...

I have studied in english medium school. It was among top 10 english medium schools in Kolkata. I understand people around me. I feel backwardness and illiteracy is more in India. That should be irradicated. I really don't feel to mingle with others because they are untidy and don't have descipline and smartness. I love to be reserved.
I have made my parents my friends. They are my life. I respect them. I do everything for them. Maybe other students who have studied in english medium schools or studied abroad thinks as such.

Yes you do have a point here! I think the tendency to condemn certain things is a fashion with many, so the moment we hear the words like sophisticated, international, etc. most people start thinking they are related to words like snobs, high-fi etc. which is what most of the criticism is about!!
